Petrochemical holding company SIBUR has completed the sale of 100% of OAO SIBUR-Russian Tyres (SRT) to a group of investors including the management of SRT and Vadim Gurinov, former CEO of Russia’s largest tyre manufacturer.

The Customs Union Commission has ruled that the import duty on used tires be fixed at 20% of the price, but not less than 20 Euros per tyre.

Holding “SIBUR-Russian tyres” has won a tender to supply tyres for the Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba held by Ministry of Foreign Trade. Value of the contract amounts more than $8 mln, volume of supply – about 40 000 tyres.

«SIBUR-Russian Tyres» and Lomonosov Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology Opened Joint Research Tyre Laboratory
On 28 of April, 2009 «SIBUR-Russian Tyres» and Lomonosov Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology opened joint tyre laboratory. It is the first tyre laboratory organized by commercial company and University according to Western standards.
